I will not be here to redo the history of Doom, also because finding someone who has never set foot in the hellish world of id Software today is almost impossible. The historical importance of the John Romero and John Carmack saga is now the subject of school books, but we had to wait until 2012 to see the much discussed Doom 3 on HD consoles, given that in 2004 the third chapter of the series was released only for PC and Xbox. In eight years, apart from the news and denials on Doom 4, the owners of Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 have thus had to settle for the old (but always extraordinary) Doom and Doom 2, but now also Doom 3 can be played in the " glory "of high definition, plus 3D support, the Resurrection of Evil expansion and the new levels of The Lost Mission.

The renewed flashlight makes certain passages almost more frightening than before.

Francesco Destri did not sleep for whole nights in 2004 playing Doom 3 and even eight years after some cardiac acceleration he still felt it, a sign that similar games are practically eternal.
