With a finger of destiny, Abe ™, a first-class floor polisher in a meat industrial facility, was shot into a mind blowing experience when he unintentionally learned of his boss's plans, a Molluck of the Glukkon ™, that Abe and his Mudokons transformed into Tasty Treats as last measure to save the Molluck butcher realm to be processed. As he escapes the butcher shop, Abe gets a vision of a mysterious large face that not just shows Abe that he has to save his companions, no, he also has to safeguard all other Oddworld creatures against the ruthless Magog Kartel. After a long instructional meeting and a long outing across the steppes with his companion Elum, Abe is given the mind blowing Shrykull power. On his arrival to the meat manufacturing plant, Abe destroyed the facilities, saved his buddies and cut Molluck down.
